Atlantic City Free Public Library

The Main Library of the Atlantic City Free Public Library is located near City Hall and is adjacent to the Atlantic County Offices. The Library Express is located on the corner of Atlantic and Morris Avenues. The Alfred M. Heston Collection is located within the Main Library.

Parking

There is metered parking on the streets surrounding the library. The library also offers free validation for one hour of parking at the New York Avenue Parking Garage located on South New York Avenue between Atlantic and Pacific Avenues.

Alfred M. Heston Collection Location and Hours

The Alfred M. Heston Collection of Atlantic City history is located within the Main Library, near the Reference Desk, and has open research hours on the days below. No appointment is needed during these hours.

Parking
There are limited parking spaces designated for library users, and surrounding streets include metered and non-metered parking.

Richmond Branch is currently closed.
The Library Express was developed as a temporary location to provide services after the Richmond Avenue School, which housed the Richmond Branch Library, closed in summer 2009. The library will offer a larger Richmond Branch in the new Richmond Avenue School, which is scheduled to open during the 2011-12 school year.
